The government's police, crime, sentencing and courts bill, which contains new powers for officers and the home secretary to impose conditions on public assembly is a move to silence dissent.
So long as laws are made in Parliament people must have a right to protest them in Parliament Square. This Bill includes an overt assault on our right to protest.

Remainers and Leavers have united against government's attempts to crackdown on protests, campaigners have now united as signatories on an open letter calling for the bill to be withdrawn until after the pandemic to allow time for scrutiny, accusing government of using “actions of authoritarians”.
