Best for Britain endorses March for Change

Best for Britain is delighted to announce its participation in the March for Change on July 20th.

On Saturday July 20, as a new Prime Minister prepares to take office, grassroots organisations will gather in central London for one of the biggest pro-European rallies that the UK has seen.

The initiative, called March for Change, will be a march with a difference. The previous three big pro-European marches have made the case for a People's Vote. The March for Change will put the proud and confident case for remaining in the EU. This will mark the start of a national fightback against a government seemingly determined to deliver a No Deal or hard Brexit by October.

Announcing Best for Britain's participation, COO Naomi Smith said:

"Only a tiny fraction of the population, who are mostly older, wealthy, white people, have the privilege of choosing the next Prime Minster of our country, yet the consequences of Brexit and severing ties with our European neighbours will affect us all. Indeed, the government’s own analysis shows the poorest get hit first and worst.

"For the past three years, this country has been held back from fulfilling its potential. There's a lot to be angry about - from sky-high housing costs, to the refusal to acknowledge the climate emergency, to the Brexit shambles in Westminster.

"That's why Best for Britain will be marching. Europe is an agent for change across borders and it would be a disaster to cut ourselves off from such powerful allies."
